Photo Acceptance - Post Screening (Stulli)

Tue Mar 31, 2009 2:38 pm

Got this one rejected now for the second time. As I understood it, the main reason was 'too grainy', which confuses me a bit. The original is a Fujichrome 100 slide, which is grainy as it is.

It was scanned at 3200 dpi, using a slide scanner, I dont't know how to get it better.

Although I know, it's kind of a taboo, asking questions like this here, I can't help asking myself, how it comes that one can easily find thousands of pitures in the database, that are much more grainy than this one. As the most of these are older, I got the idea, that maybe pictures from the past five years or so, that are not digitally taken but scanned slides are no longer requested at all?

size it down to about 1024x683 or 1100x733 pixels and it'll be perfect

Congratulations, nice shot! There aren't too many shots in here of Boxcars that are actually flying  Smile

Hope you'll also upload some of your slides from the 70's and 80's that you mentionned in the other thread, I would love to see them  thumbsup
