Photo Acceptance - Pre-screening (mclaudio)

Tue Apr 07, 2009 12:44 pm

Cheers.
I have in the queue this photo:
http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/b...ready/r1238948691.6989cu-u1610.jpg
and I would like to read from perhaps the database Editor some small explanations.
1º I don't have a clue about the model. The boat manufacturer is Lomac, and the engine manufacturer is Polaris. It looks to me a home-built flying machine.
Should I select the following categories: Single engine prop + Private + Seaplane ?
Then the other doubt is about the Aircraft Generic Type. Is it ok to select Unknown?

Many thanks for the feedback, oh and if anyone wants a drop a line if it has any chance or if I should re-edit it it is also welcome. This edition was only to clear the doubts I have on the upload.

Thanks

Photo Acceptance - Pre-screening (mclaudio)

Hi Miguel,

Great photo you've got there!
I think the categories you names will be ok. Don;t know if "unknown" will do for type etc, but that's how I would fill it in too.

The manufacturers are.

http://www.polarismotor.it/

And looking at the specs it's the FIB 582 (water cooled and 3 bladed prop)

Ahhhh!!! Thanks Andrew! Brilliant!!
I googled Lomac and only found an Italian boat manufacturer. Never searched about Polaris.
So it's better to correct that on the upload, and I'll improve the brightness a bit as it also seems slightly dark to me.  Wink
Once again many thanks

Quoting Mclaudio (Reply 4):

No problem. Looks a great way to fly... somewhere it's nice and sunny at least. I did have microlight lessons a few years ago, but had to stop. One day...... perhaps.
