Photo Permit For Taking Photos At Paris-CDG

Sat Apr 11, 2009 12:07 pm

Hi All

Do we still need to obtain a permit for photography at CDG?

I have emailed the contact address I was given several weeks ago and heard nothing at all.

I was just wondering if the scheme had been scrapped or something?

Can anyone confirm if you still need to obtain a permit and what the email address is to contact in France?

Many thanks in advance

Hi David,

I have been to CDG about two weeks ago. The signs telling that photography without written permission is forbidden are still there but during this visit and my visit in Februrary I haven't experienced any controls, so might be that they just stopped doing.

I never understood the intention of issuing doing controls and issuing permission but I can imagine that there were more people asking for permissions than expected.

Yes, you still need the permit.

I received my permit after 6 weeks and had to show it last week when asked upon by the Gendarmerie.

Cheers!  wave

Would you please post the correct e-mail adress again, here?
I have plans to go to Paris this summer and have to ask a permit on-time, but I can't find the older topics, with the correct adress is mentioned.

Thank you

Hi guys

Thanks a lot for your replies.

I have waited nearly 4 weeks so far, so I guess they are just busy, which is to be expected given the Air Show is fast approaching

Kind regards

thats a good question - I dont know. I seem to believe that Paris-Orly is exempt from this requirement.

The address as I know it is, xavier.huby@seine-saint-denis.pref.gouv.fr

Sounds like it might be worthwhile sending a request pretty sharp if you want the return by June!

The permission is valid for CDG and LBG. In ORY it is not necessary to have one since spotting is tolerated by the authorities.
