Chateauroux Photography

Hello  Smile

Yesterday I made the mistake of driving past Chateauroux and not planning to make some time to have a good look at the planes parked there. Last time I passed there I only saw (from the highway) the AOM DC10 and the Corsair B747SP but yesterday the place was stuffed with all kinds of aircraft. Unfortunately doing decent spotting while driving is hard so it's hard to know what I actually saw, apart from 3 or 4 747's and a whole bunch, maybe 20, 737's. I recall 2 with tails reminding me of the Slovakian flag and 2 Ryanair 737-800's.

Anyway, I'll probably drive past that airport again later this year and I'm definitely going to plan a stop and have a better look, maybe try to shoot some of those poor planes there. Anybody here has experience with that airport? Although there aren't many shots in the database here, it does seem to be possible to get rather close to the planes...

Here is a link I found apparently spotting is quite easy at the airport:
