Photo Acceptance - Pre Screening (RonS) Level?

Sun May 10, 2009 1:52 pm

Hello guys. Took this early evening shot the other day. My main concern is with the Air Traffic Contol Tower, is it level and straight? I took this at a slight angle to it, but maybe I should just add a little more CCW to the tower? I keep second guessing myself on this one.

Thank you.

Hi Ron,

I would give it a bit more CW rotation, and also note that there are parts soft, it's a bit too dark and grainy.

Hope it helps  Smile

Yes...I didn't have my coffee yet. I meant clockwise, thanks for confirming.

I'm going to start from scratch on it, and I'll make the improvements you suggest. I'm hoping to get this photo right and accepted because it was pretty dark out when I took the shot, panning 1/60th / f4 / iso 200, handheld, no IS.

thank you

Hi

Do your clocks go the other way round?

Another Idea: Could this be not a result not of holding the camera in the way it seems in the picture but kind of 'shutter problem' often visible in digital shots - as the photo is not exposed completely at once but 'scanned' step by step'? (Sorry. I don't know the correct English words for this, but hope, you can understand what I mean...

regards

Ulrich

Ulrich, sorry not exactly sure what you mean.

I re-edited. First attempt, same as in the original post, the original link won't work now that I deleated it. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...6COaIWV5gmlaZgtocw?feat=directlink

Second attempt. A little more CW, a little more sharp, a little brighter, and blured out a little bit of noise. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...LLPS4DBoO72ZITAOAg?feat=directlink

Any thoughts? Would love to get this one on because it was pretty dark out, and I handheld at 1/60th.

Thank you gentlemen.

Ron
