I shoot with a full frame camera, Canon 5D MK1 and a canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 IS lens. Even at f9 I get a decent amount of vignetting. And since I'm shooting against a clear blue sky most of the time it's pretty obvious.
Now I know having the subject centered as much as possible will help to avoid this in the crop. But, I just don't get that all the time. Go figure.
Of course Photoshop Elements has a filter to remove the vignetting. The problem is it leaves somewhat noticeable set of rings around the image which are really clear when you equalize the image.
Is there a method or adjustment that can be made to eliminate these rings or at least smooth them out?
Or, is there a plugin out there that does a better job of this than photoshop?
