Photo Acceptance - Pre Screening (JohnJ)

Sat Jul 04, 2009 3:55 am

Finally a bit of sun in New England today, and chance to try out my new camera. This type of shot would have been a slam dunk with my old camera, but I'm still on the learning curve with this new one and haven't optimized the settings. Anyway, here's my first go with it - advice is welcome:

Maybe a touch brighter and slightly sharper - horizontal stabilisers, title.. But otherwise a nice shot

It's just a bit dark; easy to correct.

Thanks for the feedback. I did a re-edit and brightened the shot overall; I'm having to up the levels much more than I care to do, though, so I guess that's one camera setting I need to have a look at. Here's the re-edit:

Quoting JohnJ (Reply 3):

I'd go a bit brighter still, but I think I'm starting to see some noise in the darker areas (blues on the fuselage and under the wing)
