I also had a positive experience (in 2007) with the company "Duval-Guillaume". One of their designers contacted me after seeing one of my shots here:

They wanted, however, a similar shot from inside the cargo area towards the outside, but with the ramp opened. I politely asked them how much they would pay for such a shot. They replied, I found that reasonable and I accepted. Since I did not have such a shot readily available, I took some shots during one the next events/open days I visited that year and presented these to the designers (that shot is not on here, since there were people visible in the shot).
I was not paid in advance, but once they accepted the picture, they also paid the invoice correctly within the agreed payment terms.
