Two "bad" Motivs....

Tue Jul 21, 2009 6:44 am

Looks like the Ruslan a 'no no' ?

Second one, sorry for the small photo, is already appealed and rejected. Just basically a close up of the main gear, like many other here.

Why is it that a different look is penalised?

First one might have someething to do with the crop around the #1 engine and/or tail.
Too bad the second shot was also rejected, it looks like a nice shot.

Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I don't know for sure why you got motive. Crew - Head Photo Screener

First one is definately a weird awkward crop,Seems to show too much of the aircraft at the rear after the wing for a close up shot and cropping out a engine is quite distracting for the shot aswell.
Second one its hard to tell from small thumbnail pic, maybe it doesnt include enough detail from the angle to justify it for a close up of the undercarriage gear.

Cheers Mark.

I have seen so many gear close ups recently and I like them somehow. It is hard to tell from the small picture, but it looks like a nice angle and it seems to show how the gear sits there on the ground. I like it... Sad it got rejected  Sad

I think with the gear shot, you may have had a better chance if you showed more of the gear. Like an angled shot of the rear mains perhaps.

On the first shot, it's definatly the crop. I see where the number one engine has been cut which can be quite distracting. Also, you want to focus more on the nose and wing/wingbox area. Not so much on getting the aft portion of the airplane in the shot. I would suggest a slightly different crop on that then a re-upload.

I see what you were trying to do. I can appreciate how hard it is to get some sunlight to fall on the gear too, with that huge wide wing that hangs low over the wheels. I've found it very difficult to get the light on it!

it was me who rejected the first picture for motive. As already mentioned before, the cut engine looks awkward. Like Lexy said, concentrate more on the front part from the nose to the end of the gear bay.
