Sat Sep 19, 2009 8:29 am

Hi Guys,

What are your thoughts about the rather new Nikon D3000? How will it fair?

Cheers,

Alfie

It will probably FARE well, but I won't be buying one.

These days, most of my photography (except aviation photography) is with a Zeiss Ikon.

For aviation, my Nikon D700 does the job.

Quoting Viv (Reply 1):

Even a D80 or a D5000 will do the job quite well. I wonder when the D3x and D4 will start being used by people here. People already use D3 and D700, both of them pro-level cameras.

I have a feeling the D3000 will be quite fine, as long as you don't try to do tricky things with it (like really low light photography).

I personally won't be buying one either, for the very same reason as Viv.  Wink I love 35mm cameras.
