In terms of acceptance here at airliners.net, I see the following problems.

-First of all, your biggest problem is most likely going to be motive. There is nothing but the aircraft wing and blue sky. Generally window views need to show something of interest. Browse the database for window views and every example shows something outside other than just the wing.

-Size...there is no need for this shot to be uploaded at 1600 pix. It is very difficult to get a shot that size accepted...quality must be superb. Unfortunately in this case, quality is not the greatest. Sizing down to 1024 can sort of hide slight quality issues and is generally easier to deal with.

-The image is quite soft.

-Grain. The entire image is very grainy. Additional sharpening to address the softness issue will only make the grain more apparent.

-And finally, there is a large window reflection arching next to the winglet.

I'm afraid there is no chance for this one, sorry.

First of all, resize the photo to 1024 x ... . that will surely help.
Second, you have an arch of window refelction on the right side of the winglet which you need to clone out.

Then deselect the sky when you sharpen (so the sky doesn;t get grainy). I'm not sure of you'll get motive for it, as there isn't much too see in the shot.

Hope this helps.

Alfie,

Have you bought your DSLR and two lenses yet? Or is this shot with something else? Looks like an image from a compact camera to me, as a DSLR surely wouldn't produce that much noise?

Nice shot but perhaps not for A.net. There's also what appears to be a blemish towards the top-left.

Hi Karl,

No, this is with my Compact. I'll try fix up the blemishes, but don't worry, am getting my DSLR quite soon! Unfortunately, not before I visit Manchester in November... I'm sure my CanonPowerShotSX100is will be okay there for some shots, won't it?

Alfie,

It should be. The shot you posted isn't too bad so with a DSLR your images will only improve. You'll have to be nice to Santa.....

Errr... no!

I have about £220 and am selling my PSP for £55 tommorow evening. £275.
Then, for christmas I get £200 from my grandparents. £475. Plus, £50 from the other grandparents. £525. Then, I can find some money from my parents and buy the 1000D with kit lense and the 75-300mm USM. I'll be getting it from here....

http://www.camerabox.co.uk/

Here is the 1000D...

http://www.camerabox.co.uk/product1.asp?ProductName=Canon EOS 1000D 18-55mm Lens Kit&ProductID=5353

And the lense...

http://www.camerabox.co.uk/product1.asp?ProductName=Canon EF 75-300mm F4-5.6 III USM Lens&ProductID=4201

Also, as it being time for festivity and christmas, there is guaranteed to be a...... SALE!!!!
Yipeeee! Big grin

However, I may lose some of my oringinal £275 as I am going flying at Popham soon.

Have you been there Karl? I reccommend I visit as you can walk around the airlfield, take pics and get about a meter away from the runway (s).

Cheers,

Alfie
