Yes, it is 58-0009. The serial numbers for USAF
aircraft are based on the FY they were purchased, followed by a 4 digit sequence number. You will see a number of different formats for marking the serial on the aircraft. In this case, it's the last digit of the year and the sequence number, all as one number. Since the KC
-135 was manufactured from 1956-1964, the only "8" it could be is 58.
