Yeah , I did it by myself. I got a precision electronic and mechanic skills (i'm electronician specialized in HF
transceivers) so it was not a problem. Infact , nobody should clean it except authorized service , but cost of couple hundreds of $ makes me to find a way to clean it. BTW dust is not visible on the shots like the dust on sensor , but I felt non comfortable when was looking every day on the lens. Cleaning is easy , but everybody should remember how to put back all pieces together (12 screws , 3 rings and one lens) and not to loose sharpness of the lens. I also cleaned up my other lens , 17-85 IS USM
but that was a piece of cake.
