Who Shoots Aerial Video/film?

Sat Mar 20, 2010 4:21 am

I was always curious who shoots all those beautiful, slow moving film/video of all the legacy carriers in their commercials. You know the ones where they bank slow, and do the classic beauty pass?

Just wonder who does those types of shoots? Any guesses?

Thanks!

Quoting tpa36r (Reply 1):

Clay Lacey used to fly photo missions with George Hall, the still photographer (famous for his Boeing delivery shots, calenders, etc). Clay's lear has a gyro stabilized monstrosity of a camera in the center of the cabin with periscopes. Its quite a set up. Clay was also the first ever to fly "Aviation Partners" first winglets on his Gulfstream. They were designed for the G-ll-B. A great book on this is called "Airliners in Flight" by George Hall and Nicholas Veronico. Published by Motorbooks International, 1.800.826.6600. It features Clay Lacey and his rig. The book is very informative especially if your looking for A to A tips...g
