Hello All,

I am in San Diego until Saturday for the purpose of spotting. Where are the best places to go Spotting. I have seen a lot of places but im not sure where the best views are.

The best public viewing area at SAN is a small parking lot where west Laurel and Harbor drive meet. You get a view the departure end of runway 27 so you will get the planes beginning their departure roll as well as nice views of aircraft on short final with the distinct Mission Hill backdrop.

Besides the main lot across from the Coast Guard station that Silver1SWA mentioned, sometimes I'll go to the corner of India & Ivy Streets. This is in the Little Italy section just east of downtown. The planes are coming in to land and they're low.
