Resizing Aerial Images

Wed Jul 07, 2010 11:47 am

I took this image when departing Barcelona, I've edited it and re-sized it to 1024 x 683, but its still to large to submit as it 1147kb

What more can I do?

Hi Gary,

You can try saving it with a larger JPG-compression (if you used quality setting 12, try lowering to 11 or 10). You will loose some quality by doing this (I cannot judge on the original quality, since I am on my work's laptop).

PS: I like the shot and the view (I was there only once and my flight left during the night...)

Best regards,

Walter

Or do what you normally and save to web instead of the normal save function.

Thanks for your help guys, I didn't think about reducing it from 12 to 11, Perhaps I need to transfer or re-start the thread on the feedback forum now, as this is my first attempt at a shot like this and want to know if its acceptable

Gary

It looks like there's a little bit of haziness and there's a subtle noise that I'd guess is from sharpening, but the lighting and colors are nice, and I like the patterns woven by the taxiways from this angle, so I think it's worth trying.
