Best Spotting Locations Within SFO

Fri Oct 08, 2010 8:33 pm

I'll be in SFO this sunday with about a 3 hour layover and I was wondering what areas within SFO would have the best view of arriving/departing aircraft (specifically wide bodies)

The AirTrain station platform at Terminal 2 has decent viewing on both ends. Your field of view is a bit limited, but it's good enough to snap a few shots of departing/arriving aircraft.

That AirTrain location seems good!

I was able to shoot some from SFO airside in a flight I had earlier this year, I don't remember the exact place but I think it was terminal G, it's the windows to the right of this Lufthansa 747:
