my most pics are in 3000 X 1500 format.....how should i resize them to 1600
Straight from the camera, image files will be large. How large depends on the resolution of the sensor, ie the number of pixels. This is fine for printing photos were you need high resolution photos, but it's no good for uploading to websites as the files are too large. You therefore need to resize them to a suitable size. The size limits are given on the photo upload guide, but I would suggest you stick to 1024 x 683 pixels, in the beginning at least. There are many reasons why I would advise against uploading at 1600 pixels. The first one being you need very high quality photos in order to upload at that size, but more importantly for me, you can get a reasonable size and quality print from a 1600 pixel photo so the security aspect (ie people using your photo without your permission) is increased. In order to resize your photos, you'll need to process them which includes resizing them to the desired size. Adobe Photoshop or Elements are the most popular software, but there's plenty of others too.
