You can park in Cains lane as long as you park on the left hand side (the side with the houses) with no wheels on the pavement. It's some silly old law which has surfaced again. From there, its like a 1 minute walk to Myrtle Ave (27L). If they are landing on 27R then Myrtle Ave or the football field (just down the road) are fine. If they are on 27R, you can either walk from Cains (about 25mins) or park in the visitor centre car park (£1 an hour) which is next to the Renaissance hotel for reference. Dont par in the Mc Donalds car park that is just behind because they are wise to it and there is something like an £80 fine. If they are on 09R takeoffs, you can still park in Cains lane and walk back down away from the airport, cross the road and down a pathway and if you go far enough down there, you can get some 09 Banking shots:

For 09L arrivals... when you exit the M25 and take the Heathrow exit, the first roundabout you come to take the first exit which will take you past T5
, under a bridge and there are cars parked on the pavement on the left. Its quite a large kerb but its fine if you take it slow... Failing that, there is a roundabout just after that and if you take the Third exit (last one) and you can park in the village.
When are you coming down?
