I'm planning a trip to Louisville this summer and am looking for some information on spotting there.
A quick search on the forums didn't produce much, neither did Google. I have a hand-full of questions, answers to these or any additional advice you would be willing to offer would be appreciated.
1. Reception: How is the airport in regards to their reception of folks hanging around with cameras? Are they aggressive like STL? Do they have a special pre-cert process similar to what the Houston spotters have worked out with IAD?
2. Location: I found a map on http://www.bruceleibowitz.net/ that highlights a former residential area on the west side of the airport and the cell phone lot on the north side. Are there any other places of note?
3. Are there any good hotels nearby with a decent view of aircraft movements? Google maps didn't seem to indicate anything of interest.
Thanks for your time and insight.
