Changing Pixel Size

Hello all,

I'm new to this so need help,i've tried to upload a photo but gets rejected because photo megapixels to large,how do i reduce this?

Have you got any photo editing software? You'll need to resize your photos from it's original size as they'll be far too big. Have a look through the Editing In Photoshop page.

Adding to what Darren said, be sure that when you do crop you don't go over the 1 MB limit either.

Here's the table of sizes (landscape)

1000 * 667 -> 750
1024 * 683 -> 768
1100 * 733 -> 825
1200 * 800 -> 900
1300 * 866 -> 975
1400 * 933 -> 1050
1500 * 1000 -> 1125
1600 * 1066 -> 1200

I also recommend looking through our rejection guide that has loads of info on what is expected from a photo in order to be accepted in the Airliners DB

And if you post your photo in the Photography Feedback forum you will get some good input on quality and what needs adjusting to get it accepted.

Hope to see some photos in the DB soon!
