The purpose of the original discussion you linked was to level the playing field for all photos to have an equal opportunity to make the Top 5 on their own merit with no influence from the social media sites. We've delivered on that and consistently review our postings to ensure it stays that way even though it has had a negative impact on the growth of those sites.
Back then it was not uncommon for the Top 5 to consist of several shots that hit those sites within hours of being accepted and that no longer happens. That the majority of our postings now clearly state where the shot is sourced from was in direct response to that discussion.
I've receive constant communication from many photographers who have questions about the social media sites and the ensuing discussions are great as we've all benefited from them. As noted in my first post a few might get through and I don't see the need to question a couple of shots out of the thousands posted but I am willing to assist if you'd like to send me the photos you have.
