Presently I am using the Nikon D90, with the Nikkor 18-200 VR and 10-24 lenses, which I am very happy with. Nevertheless I am hoping to find some advice in here on two questions:
1) What lens would you recommend above the 200mm? Are teleconverters good or rather buy a bigger lens such as a 70-300?
2) Flash: With the 18-200 and the integrated pop-up flash, I am having trouble with the lens shade at the lower end of the photos. For example the DC-10 cabin was accepted despite the shade, but the Il-18 cockpit was rejected for that reason:

I recently also bought the Nikkor 10-24 lens, which obviously results in a much bigger lens shade signature when shooting below 18mm. Any recommendations how to get rid of the shade? I assume a proper flash sitting much higher than the pop-up flash should do the job? Can you recommend such a flash? I fly in cockpits quite often and it is a shame to have the photos rejected due to this mechanical problem.
Thanks for any recommendations.
