My 1000th Photo Here!

Fri Sep 09, 2011 3:58 pm

Hey everyone!

I would like to thank everyone that has helped me since I first started spotting back in 2007! Since then, I've seen so many different things and had many great experiences! Many thanks to Fábio Pinheiro and Lino Borges for being such great buddies! And to my dad for always supporting this craziness of mine for airplanes!

My 1000th photo in A.net is this one, from RIAT 2010! A great year in terms of spotting, and even greater in personal achievements, since it was back then that I've started my ATPL course! All in all, it was a fantastic year!

Well done and getting to 1000 in a couple of days over 3 years of uploading.

Alot of great shots from your first image in the DB of a Rafale to the last, but how can we forget this.............

Lajes seems to offer such a great mix of Aircraft and Weather conditions..................How do you get there from the UK?

I hope to get to my 1000 milestone within three years of uploading too, which is Feb 2012

Keep up the good work.

Gary

You can either work for a living, or you can fly airplanes. I'd rather fly!

The best way to get to the Azores from the UK is to go to Lisbon, and go to the Azores on one of the two daily flights (to Lajes, this is)! The same to Ponta Delgada (LPPD) but I'm not familiarized with the schedules...
The only problem is the price of the tickets to the Azores   it can cost something like 300€ to get from Lisbon :S

Saw it as airport which gets visited by Tristars, DC10s, VC10s - i was Damn!!
It came across to me as a La SXM for Military Aviation Exotica
