Canon Lens Falls From The Sky

Fri Sep 16, 2011 9:15 pm

Has anyone taking A2A's over California lost their lens recently?  http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2011/09/15/camera-lens-falls-from-sky-through-roof-of-petaluma-home/

It definitely looks like it is from a DSLR alright.

A weird one...

We have all heard of eggs having a great fall, but not camera lenses.

I doubt that anyone will claim it; obviously it's now "junk", and the home owner has a hole in his roof.......( don't think I'd claim it )

Looks like a 24-105. Wonder if it was A2A or A2G photography going on.

In any event, I'm sure that whoever watched it fall out of the plane is keeping their lips firmly sealed.
B-52s don't take off. They scare the ground away.
