FLL Airshow Spotting

Tue Apr 17, 2012 10:38 pm

For all of you that live in South Florida, you probably know that the FLL Airshow is next week. I was just wondering, since this is the first year im attending, where is a good place to spot? Places on the website seem to be restricted or either you have to pay to get in.

I attended that airshow once a few years ago and remember it being extremely crowded and tough to move around. I'll be attending and will most likely purchase one of the 'premium' spots at the Bennett Autosupply Dropzone area. I think it's worth the $29 to not have to fight that crowd.

The performances were similar but as far as I remember, there were no static displays of aircraft. I did see some military vehicles but that was it. Maybe it will be different this year but I doubt it. The main draw for me is the B1B, A10s and the Thunderbirds.
