50-Gigapixel Camera (Article)

Always interesting to see what folks are developing:

Using an online calculator, it gives me a file size of 75 GB for a 50-megapixel RAW file (no idea if that's accurate, but seems reasonable).
I'm watching Jeopardy. The category is worst Madonna songs. "This one from 1987 is terrible".

I could see the Government and Military using this technology for surveillance. Very interesting!

With that camera and field of view you could take a picture of a city, then zoom in electronically to see what moments you have captured, the paparrazi would love it!
