Here's a page that has previously been reported here that is still uploading A.net photos to their page as opposed to linking to them:
Unfortunately, there's not much that can be done other than having the photographers whose photos are involved to report these pages. Facebook's copyright infringement policies makes it easy for these pages and harder for the sites these folks are stealing images from. Airliners.net has been able to get some pages removed, but even then it's hard for them to do so since the images are copyrighted to the photographer. Some of these folks have actually tried to fight back when confronted about stealing photos from here, and try to claim that the photos belong to the airline that the a/c is a picture of and that the photographer was illegally taking photos of a/c and that the photographers were infringing on the copyrights of the airlines. One guy tried to claim that unless the watermark or copyright is right down the middle of the photographer, it is not copyrighted and people are free to use it without permission. Some even go as far as to put their own watermark and copyright bar on the photos, in one case, the person claimed to be Airbus and was infringing on their copyrights and trademarks while infringing on the copyrights of the photographers.
This is something that the site has had to deal with for years, as there have always been people who have done similar things on the Internet. With social media sites like Facebook, it's even easier to do so as well as to attract visitors. No amount of protection of the photos here will stop people from misusing the images from the database here. All we can do is to be vigilant and make the photographers whose photos are being misused aware of it and hopefully they will take action. The problem is that you get one page shut down, that person will usually start a new page and the process starts over again.
