Military Plane Spotting, Southern California

Sat Mar 02, 2013 8:36 pm

While I visit commercial airports around here a lot, I've never really tried to do any photography of any military airports, or at least not in a while, and I sort of want to try. But I can't tell what is going to happen at a given airport when, or what runway is in use, or just the general level of busyness on a given day. Does anyone have any recommendations about which of the military airports are worth spotting at in the Los Angeles/Orange County/San Diego area, if any?
