Hello all, I am new to this forum and community, and this is my first post!
My father purchased a new EOS 30D a few years ago, he uses it on holiday, so for most of the year it's mine. To be honest, I am more of the video guy, I have a Panasonic HDC HS-300 and I shoot my videos for my YouTube Channel, aeroalexGR. But recently, I have thought, isn't it a shame to waste this camera? To be honest, I'm not sure how good it is, and I'm sure you guys have much better DSLRs!
What I wanted to ask you is your opinion - is it a good camera for aviation - e.g Heathrow (only 35mm needed at the location I know for a good photo) and Athens? I may seem like a complete noob, but I am!
What is the best program to run it in? And sometimes I get dust specs. I have a 17-55 mm and a polarizer, but I'm not sure how to get under that thing as the dust seems to be somewhere unretrievable, so should I give it into a store for a sensor clean? I am located in London, so do you know any stores?
Lastly, should I do anything with this camera? What would be the cheapest, effective , decent lens I could buy to get some nice shots?
I have been very lucky, and I have been allowed access to behind the scenes at a major international airport in Southern Europe and had the opportunity to jumpseat once, but I only took video with my Panasonic, and photos with my laughable Sony DXC-TX5.
Thanks for reading this, and your opinions would be invaluable!
