Nikon D3200 / 55-300 Nikkor DX VR - Help.

Mon Apr 29, 2013 12:51 am

I have a Nikon D3200 and Nikkor 55-300 DX VR lens. Not a shabby combo, but I can't seem to get pictures of the quality I think I should be getting. As I stated in another thread, it may be as simple as user error, but my progress has stalled with what I consider "fair" quality, but certainly nothing that will come close to passing muster here.

I am now shooting in Aperture Mode with ISO 200. However my focus from one end of a plane to the other degrades more than it should with this camera and I am not sure what to try next.

If anyone can give me a few suggestions to try and sharpen my images I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.

When aperture are you keeping the camera at while in 'A'? I would use 8 or 9

What AF mode are you using? I would use AF-C, Dynamic Area AF

Try those first. You also might want to post some of your work in the feedback forum

Thanks, Megatop412, I'm headed out today to shoot a few pictures at the local field so I'll make sure to try the suggestions and I will post in the feed back section.
Thanks for the reply.
