If you want to upload your photos on the web, I dont' think it is of much use to photograph a landing aircraft at night as that is very difficult/almost impossible actually. For your personal collection, however, nice of course

It was just too cloudy for any good light.

Is that El Dorado???? I'm amazed one is allowed to be THERE...... while THAT is landing.

Yes is was El Dorado. There was a Miami PD car there and that was it. When AF1 called in 12 miles out they stopped all traiifc on the roads that were inline with the approach.

Wow...when Air Force One landed here in Fort Myers, they closed down the observation area at 6am, about 4 hours before it landed. Pleasantly surprised they left El Dorado "open".

Cool , nice shot. Here , in Chicago, when AF1 is expected we have more police on the roads but no kicking out planespotters. CPD helicopter usually sircling around and before final aproach they watching aproaching glidepath. Actually we have no observation area at ORD but AF1 mostly arriving on 32R/14L so we have some specific places to get proper photo. There were maybe 2 or 3 arrivals that AF1 suprised everyone. Last time she should land on 14L but I heard on radio that they were vectoring her to 22R once AF1 finally arrived on 9L (no aicrafts landed before on this rwy except FAA testing a/c) so that was big suprise. Only one guy was in proper place (he didn't know) and got some cool pictures. He was just there (end of Wolf Rd) to see airport situation during arrival but had camera ready.
