Auto Complete For Uploading, More Airports Please!

Thu Jun 27, 2013 7:25 am

Hi,

I am surprised that for certain countries the "Auto Complete" database (with regards to airports) is so limited on this site.
Just a few international airports perhaps, and that´s it!

There are airfields that have tens (perhaps even hundreds?) of pictures accepted in the database, yet they don´t appear for "Auto Complete" or not even in the drop down menu, for that matter.
I always end up typing them manually.

Not the end of the world, I know: but my question is: why not expand the database for everybody´s convenience?

Thanks,

IIRC airport that have 50> photos in the DB qualify for auto complete function. Of course, if you find an airport that has hundreds of photos in the DB but isn't listed, you can always E-mail the editors I guess.

Hi,

Airfields are added to the database all the time, but only after checking all the details (ICAO, IATA and country-specific codes, official names, alternate names, previous names, etc). But airfields can also be added on request. So, if you want to have an airfield added with priority for easier uploading, just send a message to editors@airliners.net and it will be added. However, as we also have other commitments or vacation time, it will not always be possible to do this immediately.

Okay---->I have to confess that the 2 airports I was thinking of do NOT exceed 50 pics in the database.
Oops.....but thanks for that.

Thanks, I will compose a small list of airports that I think "deserve" to be in the drop down menu´s.
