Tamron AF 18-200MM F/3.5-6.3 XR Di II Ca. Problems

Tue Jul 23, 2013 11:21 am

Hello all,

A couple of weeks ago i purchased a Canon EOS 1100d with the Tamron AF 18-200MM F/3.5-6.3 XR Di II.

I bought it for planespotting purposes. I went to Amsterdam Schiphol twice and both of the times when i came home i was very dissapointed with the results. Its for me just not possible to take a picture That isn't sharp or moved a little. A lot of the Photos were taken at focal lengths higher than 125mm. Aperture was always around f7 to f11. I was shooting shutter priority mode with speeds from 1/250 and up.

On the internet there are a lot of negative reviews for this lens. But also some That are positive. I Saw some pictures taken with the lens That were very very sharp. I just really dont know how to do it. When i take a picture from something static and i view it at 100% it looks unsharp.

I really want to take Nice and sharp/crisp pictures. My spotting adventure is a little dissapointing...

Please can someone tell me how to handle this lens?

Thanks
Michael
