Canon 60D

Mon Aug 05, 2013 7:46 pm

Hello experts!
I finally decided to buy a new DSLR, what about the canon 60D? is it a good camera for planespotting? I know of course that the quality of the lenses and the photographer's ability are more important but as beginner i'm in doubt on the equipment to buy.

I Hope you can help me!
Thank you in advance.

If you have the budget, then it's a great camera. Just factor in you will need some good lenses to go along with it. If you don't have a lens budget, I would say you're better spending less on the body and using the saving for better lenses but if budget isn't a problem, the 60D will serve you well.

Equipment: 2x Canon EOS 50D; Sigma 10-20 EX DC HSM, 50-500 EX APO DG, Canon 24-105 f/4 L, Speedlite 430EX

Should be more than enough for planespotting. Even a basic DSLR will be good for most of your needs.

In essence, what Darren said.
I'm watching Jeopardy. The category is worst Madonna songs. "This one from 1987 is terrible".

I can really recommend you to buy the 60d. Just came back from DPS and had once again great fun with it. Currently using it with standart 18-135mm EFS lens and Tamron SP70-300 F/4-5.6 Di VC USD. Till now I never had the wish to go for any other lens, also a question of your personal budget

The LCD screen is very practical, for example to photo yourself. Playing with the M-modi always makes fun, with the time I got an idea of using it correctly.
