Sounds to me like a good networking opportunity. You're at an airport getting to know him he asks a favor to take some photos and you did it. I'd send them to him and keep the relationship going and maybe there will be an occasion where he offers to take you along for a ride. It could also lead to other opportunities to barter or maybe even sell a few prints.
Just recently at my local airport some Navy F/18's came by for a visit. A couple of guys started some conversation with the pilots. They exchanged emails and the guys took some shots of them taking off that they were gong to send to them just because. The trade-off is they got to make a few fighter pilot friends, check out an amazing aircraft and get some great shots of them posing for the camera as they taxied by and took off. Aviation is all about networking. Sometimes a little favor can go a long way.
Oh, it's a big pretty white plane with red stripes, curtains in the windows and wheels and it looks like a big Tylenol.
