Next week I’ll go to South England for a photography road trip built around a few airshows. The broad schedule will be as follows:
28th Arriving at Folkestone. Heathrow
29th Bournemouth Air Festival
30th Bournemouth, Tangmere museum
31th Shoreham Airshow
1st Old Warden-Biggleswade – Shuttleworth Flying Day
2nd Hendon / Duxford museums
3rd Mildenhall / Lakenheath, departure from Harwich.
-Heathrow. I’ve never photographed there. I guess Myrtle Ave and the Rising Sun Inn area are the most practical spots for a visit by car.
-Bournemouth. The light at the Air Festival couldn’t be worse, but flying will be from BOH
I suppose. Is the viewing area at BOH
with its expensive parking any good? The east bank of the Moors River looks like a good alternative.
-Mildenhall / Lakenheath. Any ideas about the best times here, traffic wise?
-Suggestions for any quick stops that I should take in? I'm into most things that fly.
