D7100 Vs D7000

Thu Aug 29, 2013 8:01 pm

Howdy folks. I am considering a body upgrade from my current D3100. It is fabulous, but the high ISO performance and the poor low light focusing is kinda a pain. I have heard good things about the D7000/D7100 and both are within my price range. I like the increased AF points and better exposure bracketing with the D7100, but the high ISO perf seems to be a bit better with the D7000. So, which is better?

All opinions are greatly appreciated

D7100. Af is way better and ISO quality is also better . Per pixel the sensor are more or less equal, but the D7100 has 50% more pixels so the down sampled image from a D7100 will look better.

Go with the D7100, it's a no-brainer. I own a D7000 and while it's a great body, if I had to shell out for a crop body today, it would be the D7100. There are quite a few threads here already outlining the differences.
