The Airplane Shop will be open from 10:00.
18:00: Convention kick-off and welcoming event. Sponsored by The Airplane Shop with a 10% discount on regular merchandise. Evening gathering/welcome social event.
Thursday, January 16th
08:00-12:00: FLL ramp tour. Gathering instructions for this specific event will be delivered via email upon confirmation of seat.
Afternoon: Slide Trading at the Comfort Inn/Photography. The conference room will be open all day for slide trading.
20:30-21:00: Aviation photography talk and visual presentation: ”Past and present views of MIA” by Eddy Gual
21:00-22:00: Aviation photography talk and visual presentation: “The Don Boyd MIA Aviation Photography Experience”
Friday, January 17th
12:oo-12:30 Meet at the lobby of the Comfort Inn for buses departure.
12:30-17:00: MIA ramp tour (tentative-based upon operational considerations)
Bryson’s beer garden for a fill up after the ramp tour
20:00-20:30: ”LOT 767 Belly Landing: 15 minutes of drama as seen from my seat on board” by John Magero
20:30-21:00: MIA Present Day as seen by the local photographers
21:00-22:00: Aviation photography talk and visual presentation: ”Sending the Space Shuttles into Retirement” by Suresh Atapattu
Saturday, January 18th
All day: Photography
18:00: Shorty’s for dinner, camaraderie.
20:00-20:30: “Humble Beginnings, the Birth of Commercial Aviation in Miami” by Carlos Bolado
20:30–21:00: Aviation photography talk and visual presentation: ”South African Aviation Photography” by Bob Durey
21:00-22:00: Aviation photography talk and visual presentation by Joe Pries: “Anchorage and night shots from around the world”
After Joe’s talk, for those in attendance, Atlantic Models will be sponsoring the Saturday raffle: A hand made resin model with base.
