How To Catch Retro AA

i'm thinking to visit the US sometimes and i want to photograph the Retro American Airlines, like N951AA. what his origin base of this aircraft? what airport there's good chance i be able to catch him? how can i plan to catch him?

Tzvika,

Its very hard to go in search of a specific aircraft which has no fixed hub, My advise would be to go to MIA, it spends alot of time there, I have been to MIA twice, in NOV 2011 and 2013 and saw it several times on both visits, I was even luckily enough to fly on it when returning to the UK from MIA via JFK.

In recent times there are pictures of it at MIA than anywhere else, LAX and JFK come a close second.

i'm thinking to be mainly in LA area, maybe DFW, since LAX as just few small AA, what the chances to catch him at DFW Garyck?

Does it transit DFW, yes. I caught it there a few months back. Just one thing to keep in mind, spotting at DFW can be very hit or miss. Only one set of runways has a truly good spotting location, and even then only when the winds are in your favor. Odds are very high that it could and would land on a runway where you couldn't get a good shot. LAX or MIA might be easier...
