Post-screening: Over-sharpened

Fri Jan 27, 2012 3:35 pm

Hello all,

I have a question on a rejected shot for "over sharpening".

since in my opinion it is not, I have tried an appeal... but also the latter was rejected.

the photo in object is this one:

Could you please indicate me where this picture is over sharpened, since I can't find any significan jaggy on it..

thanks in advance,

Matteo

It looks oversharp all over the aircraft on my screen. The trailing edge of the wings, the cheat lines and the tail. I think your problem is the original was quite soft and you have the engine exhaust as well. With this, you've had to apply quite a lot of sharpening and ended up over-doing it a little.

Same here. Sometimes it's difficult to perceive oversharpness when the whole thing is slightly oversharp.
I'm watching Jeopardy. The category is worst Madonna songs. "This one from 1987 is terrible".

The tail, and especially the trailing edges of the wings.

Ok... thanks a lot for the feedback.

I have still some other shot in my "editing queue"... when they'll be over I'll try to go back at it (along with a similar one rejected for the same reason...).
