may I please get feedback on these 3 shots?

The Saab 340 looks a little soft on my screen, maybe through heat haze? The dimensions are a little out (too much height).
The Vigin's dimensions are as above, but looks ok other than that on my screen.
The Qantas is a little noisey and low in the frame.

Looks like the Qantas needs some CCW rotation also?

First two are ok, second is quite soft and probably not fixable.

Quoting dazbo5 (Reply 1):

The size is within the allowable range, so that is not an issue.

Quoting mjgbtv (Reply 2):

The poor quality makes the level a moot point.

Are any of those edited for upload? Or do you just want feedback? All have issues such as levelleling and sharpness as well as other issues for here.

No they are not edited, just cropped and resized. just wanted to know how they were unedited since it was the first time that I used the lens. If anyone was interested I shot in Aperture Priority at F8.

Ok, I was thinking they can't have been edited! The first is maybe a little 'hot' for here so faces an overexposed rejection, but looks ok on my screen otherwise. The second looks quite soft, possibly heat hazed? I like the third composition wise although I think the main subject needs to be slightly lower in the frame. It looks like there's heat haze though and jet wash on the tail. The fourth might be ok quality wise with a good edit, although there apears to be some heat haze. I think the main problem with this one is the grass blocking the landing gear. The fifth looks ok quality wise but I'm not sure of the composition, it feels a little awkward to me cropped just behind the winglet. The composition on the last one looks better to my eyes including the whole of the wing, assuming you crop closer to the nose. It's a little 'hot' though and would probably get an overexposed rejection here as it is.

In my opinion, it's pretty useless to comment on resized, but unedited, photos. Can't tell how the quality of the full-size photo is, and can't tell how the quality of a fully-edited photo is.

Why not just edit a few of them and post them? Or if you want comments on the originals, post those at their full size.

Thanks Darren and Vik for your help. I have fixed up the photos and uploaded them. May I get some feedback on these shots that have been FULLY edited to the best of my ability. By the way guys sorry if I am posting many shots at once but I have not been out shooting for months so I just wanted to make sure that i'm editing properly again.

1.) Looks soft.
2.) I would crop in a bit closer, but otherwise looks OK to me.
3.) Same here - crop is a bit loose. Will be easier to tell with a tighter crop, but looks heat-hazed to me. Also may need a tiny bit of CCW.
4.) Looks OK to me, except for what looks like a dust spot in the sky (not sure if it's a cloud, but doesn't look like it to me). It's about halfway up the sky, 1/4 in from the right.
5.) Same as #2, and also looks a bit noisy.
6.) Looks a touch soft. Heat haze may be at play again.

Taking a second look I believe that the first one is fine to upload. Am I correct?

1.) Nice shot, but looks a bit noisy in the sky and the darker areas and slightly high in the frame.
2.) Looks fine to me.

Thanks Vik. For many months now if I have someone tell me that a shot is noisy I just leave it because I do not now how to remove noise from photos. I use PS5, would you be able to teach me how to remove noise from shots?

Thanks

Hi just had this shot done for grainy and over sharpened and I must say I do agree with the rejection. Does this edit look better?

Soft, flat, and the quality in general doesn't look too good. Did you use a lot of NR?

Looks soft and oversharpened in parts. Not sure if it's heat haze or too much NR.

Thanks Vik. Of course I finally find out how to reduce noise and then over do it, haha. I tried to re-edit the photos. Do they look any better?

They all look over-processed and oversharp on my screen like too much noise reduction has been applied.

I had this shot rejected for grain, dark, contrast and centered.

this is the new edit.

It's still too high in the frame, but contrast and brightness look better on my screen. I must say I'm struggling to see any noise issues with the rejected version.

Quoting evall95 (Reply 23):

1. It looks oversharp on my screen, and may have too much dead space for here.
2. It looks like it needs some CW rotation and needs to be cropped closer to the aircraft.
3. There a small amount of visible noise in the sky and I'd say it needs some CW rotation.
4. There's too much dead space around the aircraft, in needs cropping a little closer and may get a dark rejection even though it was taken in low light.

1.) Nice shot, but next time I would tilt the camera up more. No need for the large black area in the bottom quarter of the photo. I think it would be a motive reject (also soft).

2.) Looks slightly heat hazed.

3.) Looks OK to me. Maybe a bit soft toward the tail.

4.) Looks slightly soft to me. Maybe heat haze again.

5.) A bit dark. There aren't really any good references for level, but my instinct would be a bit of CCW level.
