Post Screening Help Needed.

Fri Sep 21, 2012 5:41 pm

I got this one rejected for "Dark". I agree that there are shadows, but it doesn't seem to be dark. Can someone point out what's wrong here or if I can appeal? I have had success with uploading similar ones with shadows.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I have increased the exposure of the photo below a bit on the right hand side, and you will see the sky is a brighter blue instead of a grey blue. If you have a look at the original histogram, you will see it is mainly to the left, meaning the photo is going to be dark.

I hope that helps you.

Thanks a lot William. I now see why my original was considered dark.   I will try to increase the exposure and upload it again.

I think that the sky will need some noise reduction as well.

Thanks everyone.

Here is one more rejection saying it's Dark and Grainy. What do you think?

Thanks Dana. I will try to reduce the contrast and strength to see what happens.
