Post Creening: Over-sharpened

Fri Sep 28, 2012 11:15 am

Had this one rejected for over-sharpening. I'm having a difficult time identifying areas that are over-sharpened. Would appreciate some feed back.

I'd say the whole thing could stand a bit less sharpening. Particularly noticeable on the wing leading edge, the dark blue to white transition on the bottom of the fuse, the bottom and top borders between fuse and sky, and maybe the titles.
I'm watching Jeopardy. The category is worst Madonna songs. "This one from 1987 is terrible".

Thanks Vikkyvik...I'll have to reprocess the image from the original. I generally apply minimal sharpening: a single pass at 85% USM at 0.3 radius followed by some localized USM at the wing tips etc.

Really? The whole image is quite oversharpened. There are harsh contrast lines pretty much everywhere: along the wings, tail, fuselage, nose gear, between the white & blue paint, etc...
