Sat Dec 16, 2017 3:26 pm

1. THR-IFN (Mahan Air Avro RJ100)
2. IFN-THR (Naft Fokker F100)

Iranian Trip, parts 3: Caspian Airlines MD-83 THR-ZBR (Tehran-Chabahar)
Vologda Air - Yakovlev Yak-40 VKO-UUOS Passenger Flight Experience

Part 4. Aseman Airlines

Full video report: Iran Aseman Airlines Boeing 727-200 Flight from Chabahar to Tehran

Purchase a ticket

Tickets on Aseman Airlines website can only be purchased with Iranian credit card or in Iranian ticket offices. This time I used special agent - They can bought any tickets in Iran. This ticket cost me $120.

Departure - Chabahar (Konarak International Airport)

The airport is 50 km away from the city of Chabahar, you can get there only by private or shared taxi. The fare is 100 thousand reals ($3) per passenger. I traveled all day with one taxi driver, so I did not know from what place in Chabahar shared taxis started. The airport is very small - it has a tiny cafe, toilet, waiting room and kiosk.

Check in

You can check in olny at the airport via check in counter. Registration open 2 hours before departure. The first 30 minutes almost no passengers, most of them arrive an hour before departure.

That was my fourth domestic flight in Iran and for the first time boarding was in time!

Boeing 727-200 (reg. EP-ASA) was built in March 1980 (37 years old at the time of the flight) for Air France (C20Y136). In 1991, the aircraft moved to Air Charter (France), and in 1994 to Iran Aseman Airlines (Y175).

Lunchboxes with sandwich, cake, peanuts, waffles, mandarin and juice. No any hot drinks.

Mehrabad Airport:

The plane arrived at the 6th terminal of Mehrabad airport. 100 meters from the terminal there is an entrance to the metro station (8000 reals/$0,2)

Great report! Flew on this exact plane in June, THR-AWZ. Maintained well for such a long period of time.
