NW IND-MSP-DCA/IAD-DTW-IND

I just completed my thanksgiving trip home East on Northwest Airlines.

11/17/00
NW 187
Airbus A320
IND-MSP

The flight was 100% full. They took volunteers off the flight. My seat was 6A, legroom was okay. We still departed the gate 5 mins early and took off almost immediatley. The flight attendants were friendly and we had just beverage service. I was happy with that as the flight was only 1 hour and 20 minutes long. After a great landing in MSP wer arrived at the gate about 10 minutes early.

MSP-DCA

The flight was about 90% full. I had bulkhead seats, that was a big plus! Dinner on the flight was a hot turkey and chees sandwich, salad, cookie, and beverage (whole can). The food was actually really good. (surf-paper plate was used   We arrived into DCA almost 20 minutes early!

IAD-DTW

This flight was 100% full. They took one volunteer for the flight. We departed the gate right ontime. Somehow I was upgraded to First Class on this flight. I must have just checked in at the right time with the right agent. Anyway, First Class on this flight was great. We had a really friendly flight attendant and were served breakfast. Breakfast was a a big bowl of cereal, a warm toasted bagel, yougurt, a banana, and coffee and orange juice. All on china and real silverware(Surf I know that would be important to you   The flight attendant also came around and offered us bottled water before landing which I thought was a nice touch. Also hot towels before landing too. We arrived into DTW gate F11 exactly 10 minutes earlier than scheduled.

NW286
A320
DTW-IND

The aircraft arrived in late from Phoenix so I expected a delay. They ground grew and gate agents worked really hard becuase the plane pushed back right on time. There was nobody inline for takeoff and we got airborne about 10 minutes after pushback. The flying time was only 37 minutes but the 3 flight attendants managed to serve each passenger on the 95% full A320 a drink and some pretzels. This flight also arrived into IND exactly 10 minutes earlier than scheduled.

Overall, I had a great trip. My flights were all onboard clean, ontime aircraft. Keep up the great work NWA!!!

Looks like we both enjoyed our Thanksgiving trips on Northwest...and we had the same dinner on our flights out of Minneapolis. (Paper plates for me too  )

Is NW still in the old terminal at DCA? I'm heading out to National in March, and just wondering if I'll have to walk out to the new terminal to see a great concourse... thanks Trent.

Old terminal for now, but rumor has it they will move to the resoration terminal.

It sounds great, they are making the oldest part of the termninal look like it did when it first opened and I think that will be really neat to see.
