While in Montreal-The purpose of the trip was a family emergency. We visited all our family, some people we had not seen in years! We stayed at different hotels [we usually stay with family, but not this time], so that was interesting. The weather pretty much sucked every day, except thursday [may 31st]. Clouds were present almost all the time. It was extremely could as well, sometimes getting to 6 degrees C. One of my father's cousins owns a small float plane company. On the last day he offered to take me and a few other people for a ride. I said "sure!!." He owns 2 cesnas and 1 DCH-2 Beaver! Any way, we went to the dock on the river and boarded the plane.
This is a picture of the same plane, only this time the plane had floats and was in the river.

WE flew around Laval and Montreal, flying over Celine Dion's house! Its huge!
Any way, on to the interesting stuff.
Departure 7 a.m.
Arrival 10:13 a.m.
Again woke up at about 4 am and arrived in YUL about 5 and went to check in. WE waited in line about 20 minutes again and were called by the agent. As the exit row was requested, I was told that because I was 15 years old, I could not sit in the exit row and that the age was 16. I found this very weird and did not argue. Went through customs with the extremely rude agent, I wont get into that. I have found that 9 out of 10 times the agents are very rude at customs in YUL. Any way, went to the gate and waited. I was surprised to see CO, NW, and DL jets at the other concourse, where the international airlines usually park. They were not at the transborder section where they usually are with AA, US, and AC where. Any one know why? PLanes seen were Aircanada A320s, 319s 767s and A330s, AA F-100, US 737s, NW DC-9, DL MD-88 and a D328 jet. I asked the gate agent if I could switch to an exit row, she put me in 20A, I said it would be ok that it did not recline. Boarded on time and pushed back. How ever, we sat for a little bit on the ground. The captain came on saying that one of the indicators for the doors was not working correctly, and we would need to return to the gate. We then left once again, about 45 minutes late, I was worried as we only had 45 minutes to connect in DFW. Flight attendants on this flight we not extremely nice, but were not rude either. I didn't like how the flight attendant made her announcements in English, the one who spoke french sounded more clear for some reason. Any way, before we left, I decided to move to seat 7F [bulkhead] as it was empty, would recline and I would get the room of an exit. The Bulkhead row was great. I could almost not hear the engines during the take off! The flight attendants soon came around with Drinks and Breakfast. I was surprised to see such a small breakfast. The choice was either Cheese omlete of Smart Start cereal. The Omlete was my choise and it came with 2 pieces of fruit and a piece of turkey. I thought it was rather small, ive gotten a much more filling breakfast on a YUL-ORD flight. is AA cutting back on their service? or was it just because it was sunday? Any way, it did not taste too band and I ate it all. I had ginger ale and water, which is what I usually have while inflight. I went up to First Class as my Backpack was in a bin there. WoW! breakfast smelled great! Got my book, airways magazines, and put my bag back. I read my book for a bit and looked at the AA time table. I felt as if we had been in the air for a while now and should be landing soon. Then the captain came on and said "well, we have about 1 hour 30 minutes left." I though "great" because I wanted to read "airways magazine." Drinks were served 45 minutes to landing again, and I had ginger ale. We arrived at DFW about 20 minutes late.
DFW- While taxing to the gate, I saw 4 727s parked next to each other! Great! I also saw some DL jets, North West A319, Airtran 717 many AA MD-80s and F-100s, some AA 757s, 767s, and 3 777s. Getting off the plane, we went straight to the gate for the PHX flight. Good thing we arrived at A35 and it was A37! Boarding had already started.
Aircraft: Boeing 757-200
Departure: 10:59 a.m.
Arrival 11:30 a.m.
We boarded when we were called and I took my seat in 15B. This plane had the more room through coach, but still the old seats. I find these seats somewhat more comfortable. The flight attendant who made his announcements sounded rather rude. He said "fasten your seat belts as we will be leaving soon" instead of "ladies and Gentlemen please fasten your seat belts..." While saying his welcome aboard announcement, he forgot the flight number so he said "welcome about AA flight um..... with a long pause, and the said, well I know were going to PHX!" he then got it right. This flight only had a drink service, which was dissapointing. Drinks came with snack mix. I had OJ and water this time. CBS eye on American was shown. The flight attendants on this flight were very average, they wernt great, but were not rude either. THe 2 first Class FAs were very slow to take their seats on take off and landing, we were less than 1 minute to touch down and they were not seated yet! The FA kindly got me a juice later when I asked for it. We landed on Time. The captian on this flight was very kind, and funny as well. He made a few jokes to the passengers. He detailed our route and spoke for about 5 minutes. He then came on and talked some more on our approach to PHX. HE was a very nice guy. Any way, we arrived and the FA didnt make the usual arrival announcements thanking us for flying AA etc.
We then got off got our bags and went home. All the planes I flew on were very clean and comfortable. The only thing I didnt like was the lay over in DFW, which was only 10 minutes... I wanted to walk around and explore, as the other 2 times ive been in DFW, we had a short layover as well.
