Scheduled Departure: 3:15 PM
Actual Departure: 3:46 PM
Scheduled Arrival: 3:30 PM
Actual Arrival: 3:52 PM

I arrived at ABQ at 2:00 PM for my scheduled 3:15 departure to PHX. I got to Gate A-5 and saw that the flight was going to be delayed due to the weather in PHX. I received boarding card #37 and decided to go walk around and get some pictures. I got a Frontier 733 and a Southwest 733 (N603SW). N603SW was actually scheduled to leave to PHX at 2:45 and it was also delayed. At around 3:15 I decided to go sit at the gate and they started to do the preboards and then 1-30. I was in the second group 30-60. I sat in seat 18A and, I was really impressed with the new leather interiors that Southwest has in their new planes. The flight was pretty full and it was continuing on to LAS-BOI-SEA, we pushed back at 3:46 and we actually left before N603SW did. The takeoff was quick as we headed over ABQ and before I knew it, we over the desert. Drink service started about 15 minutes into the flight and I got the usual Coke and the two bags of peanuts. Before I knew it, we began out decent into PHX and Im not sure as to which runway we landed on. We taxied to Gate B-24 and on the way I saw numerous AW aircraft, and a Frontier A319.

Scheduled Departure: 9:30 AM
Actual Departure: 9:49 AM
Scheduled Arrival: 11:15 AM
Actual Arrival: 11:49 AM

I arrived at Sky Harbor at 8:15 for my 9:30 departure to ABQ. I was hoping to get there in time to get some pictures, but that never happened. Check in didn't take too long, but when I got to the security checkpoint, the line was longer than you know what. The old lady running my line was taking forever as were the others. When I finally got there, I set off the alarm. I had everything out of my pockets and the stupid thing still went off. So the very rude screener sends me off to be Hand Wanded by yet another rude screener. She finally finished and I gathered my stuff up. I got to gate B-21 and there was an extremely long line. I looked around around I saw Boarding card #30 being held by a geeky looking blond kid. The person who was at the beginning of the long line got card #52, so I knew I was going to be in group 3 or possibly 4. The line slowly moved and when I got there I got #75. The second I got my card, preboarding started and then 1-30. I of course was in the 3rd group and like usual you had #100 trying to get in with the second group. I finally got on the plane and headed towards the back which had not filled up yet. I got seat 19F and right away started reading. The flight was full and was continuing on to AMA. We pushed back right at 9:30 and we then did a complete circle and went back to the gate. We were informed by the Captain that a Electrical Indicator light went on and that they would try to get it fixed ASAP. At 9:49 we pushed back and headed towards the runway where we sat in line for about 10 minutes. We finally took off and headed over Tempe in a lot of turbulance as we went through the clouds. Drink service started and I requested a full can of Coke and a cup of ice. The attendant brought me just that along with 3 bags of peanuts. We hit a few bumps on the way to ABQ, but overall it was smooth compared to what we encountered on takeoff. We soon made our decent into ABQ and we landed. We taxied to Gate A-8 and deplaned.

Thank you for reading. Next trip report will be in September ABQ-PHX-LAX-PHX-ABQ on America West.

Hey I saw your inbound plane as my flight was leaving that afternoon. It was the only n/c Southwest jet at the gate area. Seems like you got messed up with the same weather delays as I did. Saw the Frontier A-319 and Lufthansa A340-300 while I was there too. Hope your weekend in Phoenix was a good one.

Nice trip report. I like Southwest, they are good. Especially the new coloursheme. I flow with Southwest this year and I enjoyed the serive. The service on board was much better than the Delta flight from LAS to SLC and than the United Shuttle flight. Anwyay, the bad thing on SWA is that you have to choose your seat self.
