National Airlines flight 100
When I got out outside I made sure that I had all my stuff and headed out to the airport. When I got there I waited in the National Airlines Line for a few minutes until I got called down to someone. After I got my boarding pass I headed for the gate. After I passed security I looked at all the stuff they had in the new concourse at Midway. After I got into the old small terminal and to my gate I waited a little bit until the plane came. When I was waiting I saw 2 America West Express CRjs at some gates. Further down I saw a AirTran DC-9 parked down the gate. When they called us down they told us that our flight was going to another gate I went down to the America West gate and showed the employee my boarding pass and I got on board. The seats were nice and comfy. When I got to my seat I toook a picture of the DC-9 when I sat down. The two other people that were stiitng next to me(I had the window seat) were going to San Fransico on the same flight. Later on when everybody took their seats we left the gate and headed to the runway. We had to wait a few minutes until it was our time to taxi because of a CRJ comming in to the same gate we were comming out of. We taxied to runway 31-C and held short for a second, then later we were off. A few minutes later they served us breakfast where we can have cereal or Egg sandwich. I had a egg sandwich and a cup of orange juice and the couple had the same thing. When we were over the Colorado river the pilot had turned the plane so we could see the river. Later on we made our final approach to Las Vegas McCarran International. We landed on 25-R on a hot and clear day. When we taxied to our gate there was a Delta 757 in the new colors and a Hawaiian Airlines DC-10 between us. When I got off in the new concourseI started to take pictures until I left for the baggage claim. One of the best things about that flight was that I never saw a Hawaiian DC-10 before and I saw it and took a picture.
National Airlines flight 306
It was a nice day in Las Vegas and I was so excited to go back to Chicago. when I got to the security checkpoint I had saw this stand that was selling Gemini jets. They had a lot of planes but no American but they had a National 757. I decided to get a Delta Airlines Boeing 777 cause I like the 777 and I rode on it too. I paid $32.00 for it. When I got to the gates I was taking pictues while my parents were playing the slots. While on my spotting journey I saw a AA/RA MD-80, A TWA MD-80, a AA MD-80, a Northwest Airlines 757 and a A320. When the flight arrived from LAX I boarded the plane. It was a long walk from the gate door to the jetway because we were behind a food place. When I sat sown and waited for the flight to leave the gate I saw a really cool America West Ohio 757 landing. When we taxied to the runway we had to wait for two planes. A Northwest 757 and a Virgin Atlantic 747(which I took pictures of). When we lined up on 25-R we were ready for takeoff. When we were airborne and turned I saw a really cool site I saw a field of ex United Dc-10s. I wish I could have taken a picture but I couldn't(I rode on them a lot since I was born until our travel agencey we went to closed). When we were level I took several pictures of the airport and the strip. later on we were served dinner which consisted of a turkey sandwich and a desert. They served us the meals in a basket and we watched "The dish" during the flight. When were about to land the captain said sme scores and the weather too. when we landed at Midway at 8:45 it was dark and I saw a lot of emergencey vehicles near this plane while we landed. When everybody got off I started to go to the cockpit(with the pilot and the stewardess' permission) and took some pictures. I talked to them a little and saw all the controls. When I got off and left the terminal I was kinda happy and sad because that I was not going to see the old gates late on when I fly out of Midway again. Or either see anymore United DC-10s cause they were going to be Fedex's MD-10's or something. if you ever fly National I would say "Go ahead and fly! They are cool!" The only downside to the flight was the fact that they didn't show us a movie on the trip to LAS but they did comming back. I liked their bottled water they gave us and they had the food in a basket. When my aunt went on National she said it was nice but I never tried the bags to your hotel because we weren't staying at the Rio or Harrahs. I will suely miss the DC-10's because it's my favorite McDonnel Douglas plane.
