Got to the gate, and was suprised by how many people were there at 6am. A guy I know told me it was booked to 135 (just 2 days ago it was around 90). We departed at 6:45am, just in time for me to see the sunrise, which was awsome. Flight attendants went around and got the drink orders and passed out snacks. They don't have the regular blue chips now, they are blue tortilla chips, still good though. We cruised at FL350, and the captain came on and said we would be about 10 mins early. Well....as we decend into JFK the fog was horrible. I guess visibility was down to 1/4 mile, so we were in a holding pattern at 2,000ft just outside the airport for 25 minutes. Finally he just went full throttle and started to climb again, the capt came on the speakers and said we were going to SYR. The crew went around and handed out more headphones because they already collected them. About 40 mins later we landed, and they let about 5 people off who's final destination was SYR anyways. They refueled us, and pushed us back from the gate so another JB a/c could arrive. We sat for a good 45 mins, before we got the OK to head back to JFK (at this point we were there for 90 mins). The crew handled it well, passed out more drinks, and let some of the pax use their cell phones to call famliy. So we depart again, they served drinks one more time before we landed in JFK. Since I missed my 10:40 flight to MCO, I just made it in time to catch the 1:15 departure.
N510JB? ("out of the blue")
After being rebooked, I got seat 17F, and boarded the plane. We pushed back on time, and climbed up to FL350. I ate my bagel chip mix and tried taking a nap. If I were president, I would not let little kids (under 2) fly, that's all there is to it. I've NEVER heard such a high pitched scream for such a long amount of time in my life. It was like the parents didn't care. But I did sleep for a bit, and woke up as we began our decend near JAX. Smooth landing, another great "day in the air" for me.
